The annual Ghous-ul-Azam Conference at the Mississauga Muslim Community Center in Canada was graced by the presence of MQI founding leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. During the event, he shed light on some of the lesser-known aspects of the life of Ghous-ul-Azam Sayyiduna Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA). He emphasized that the saint dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge, spending 20 years in Baghdad, a renowned center of knowledge and culture at that time. Shaykh-ul-Islam highlighted that the title “Ghous-ul-Azam” was bestowed upon him due to his approach to acquiring knowledge, while the title “Mohi-ud-Din” was a recognition of his significant contributions to the revival of religious values.
