MQI Canada: Celebrating Pakistan Independence Day at MMCC

The spirit of patriotism and unity echoed through the halls of the Minhaj ul Quran International Canada MMCC center as it celebrated Pakistan Independence Day on August 14. The MQI Canada management team orchestrated a grand event, extending invitations to esteemed MQI Canada chapter members, volunteers, and prominent personalities from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) community.

The event commenced with prayers for the prosperity, dignity, and strength of both Pakistan and Canada, resonating with a sense of shared identity and goodwill. The vibrancy of the occasion was heightened by the participation of community children, who adorned colorful costumes, adding a delightful touch to the celebration.

The stage itself became a symbol of national pride, adorned with the green and white of the Pakistani flag. The culmination of the event saw a ceremonial cake-cutting, graced by special prayers led by Allama Ahmed Awan, the Director of Religious Affairs at MMCC.

Notable figures from MQI Canada, including Senior Vice President Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar, General Secretary Sufi Mohammad Tariq, Admin Manager Hafiz Umair Waqas, and members of the media team, actively participated in the festivities. To sweeten the celebration, guests were treated to vanilla and chocolate-flavored cakes, accompanied by the warmth of Tim Horton’s coffee.

This event not only marked the historic day of Pakistan’s independence but also showcased the unity and communal joy that resonate within the MQI Canada family.
