Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri joined the faithful at Mississauga Community Center, Canada, to offer Eid prayer, which was led by Sahibzada Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri. Sahibzada Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa al-Arabi al-Qadri, the office-holders and associates of MQI Canada, and the members of Muslim community also attended the Eid prayer.
Shaykh-ul-Islam conveyed his heartiest greetings to those present as well as Muslims around the world on the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. He said the sacrifice is all about adopting a life of piety and cleanliness. He said that the doors of Allah’s blessings open up for the believers who show their willingness to sacrifice their dearest possessions to win over the pleasure of Allah and His Prophet (PBUH).
Throwing light on the essence of the Eid festival, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the ritual of sacrifice grows the faith inducing feelings of purity and cleanliness, adding that the sacred occasion highlights the importance of sacrifice and human compassion and the feelings of submission and surrender before the Lord get accentuated.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that when the people slaughter animals in the way of Allah, they should not forget their relatives, neighbours and those in need around them and make sure that they include them in their happiness. “May Allah make this Eid and those that come after it a source of peace, contentment and prosperity for Muslims and the whole world,” he stated.
After the completion of the Eid-ul-Adha prayer, the members and associates of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, as well as individuals from various walks of life within the Muslim community, received Eid blessings from Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
